Our Testing Methodology

Every product featured on BestDeals Indonesia goes through a rigorous 5-step evaluation process before earning our recommendation. We don't just read specs — we use them, compare them, and put them through real-world scenarios.

Step 1: Market Research

We scan thousands of products across Shopee, Lazada, and brand websites. We identify trending products, best-sellers, and hidden gems that might not have mainstream attention yet.

Step 2: Spec Comparison

We build detailed comparison matrices for every category — evaluating specs, features, build quality claims, warranty terms, and included accessories.

Step 3: User Review Analysis

We aggregate and analyze hundreds of verified buyer reviews from multiple platforms. We look for patterns: what do real users consistently praise? What problems keep coming up? This real-world feedback is weighted alongside our own evaluation.

Step 4: Value Assessment

Price alone doesn't determine value. We compare each product against its peers at similar price points, considering total cost of ownership, durability, and feature completeness.

Step 5: Final Ranking

Products earn a score from 1-5 based on: performance (30%), value for money (25%), build quality (20%), user reviews (15%), and after-sales support (10%). Only products scoring 4.0+ make it to our recommendation lists.

How Often We Update

Prices and availability change daily. We update our recommendations and rankings regularly to reflect the current market. Each product page shows the last update date so you know how fresh our data is.
